Key Responsibilities

The Finance Assistant will:

  • Process and verify payment requests.
  • Prepare and execute payments.
  • Manage petty cash and cash advances.
  • Record financial transactions.
  • Prepare accounting documentation.
  • Support monthly cash reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash flow.
  • Process advance requests and reimbursements.
  • Maintain financial records.
  • Coordinate with the logistics department regarding procurement documents.
  • Prepare financial reports.
  • Assist with budget management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with IRC financial procedures.
  • Participate in finance meetings and trainings.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with an international NGO.
  • Good knowledge of accounting software (SUN System is an advantage).
  • Experience preparing financial reports.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Good working knowledge of French.
