ECOM Agroindustrial Corp. Ltd. is recruiting a Field Officer in Cameroon to support field operations involving farmers, communities and other stakeholders.

The Field Officer Job at ECOM Cameroon is a full-time, field-based position under the Field Operations department. The successful candidate will report to the Program Manager and will regularly travel to rural locations.

The advertised salary is XAF 150,000–250,000 per month.

Field Officer Responsibilities

The Field Officer will support the implementation of assigned field activities according to program plans.

Responsibilities include:

• Engaging with farmers and communities.
• Conducting farm and field visits.
• Supporting farmer registration and mobilization.
• Assisting with farmer training and engagement.
• Collecting and verifying field data.
• Maintaining accurate field records.
• Monitoring field activities.
• Preparing regular field reports.
• Identifying challenges affecting program implementation.
• Communicating field issues to the Program Manager.
• Supporting company programs within assigned communities.
• Participating in meetings, training and community activities.

The role requires someone comfortable working independently in field environments and communicating effectively with different stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Development Studies, Social Sciences or a related discipline.

Between one and three years of relevant field experience is preferred. Previous experience working with farmers or rural communities is an advantage.

Candidates should have good communication and interpersonal skills, data-collection abilities and basic reporting skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is also required.

Because the role involves frequent travel and rural fieldwork, applicants must be willing to travel extensively.

Fluency in both English and French is mandatory.
