Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Accounting, the Accountant will:
- Record daily accounting transactions.
- Maintain accounting records and documentation.
- Archive accounting files and supporting documents.
- Ensure timely processing of financial operations.
- Verify accounting entries for accuracy.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Maintain compliance with accounting principles.
- Prepare financial statements and financial ratios.
- Produce regulatory reports (SESAME and Prudential Ratios).
- Prepare tax reporting (DSF).
- Monitor and verify treasury movements.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- BAC+2 or higher in Accounting, Finance, Audit, or Management Control.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar position.
- Good knowledge of accounting software used in Microfinance Institutions (EMF).
- Strong understanding of the EMF Chart of Accounts.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and listening abilities.
- Integrity, punctuality, discipline, and autonomy.
- Ability to work under deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
