Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credit Control & Finance Assistant to support our finance team in managing receivables, monitoring contributions, processing financial data, and helping to ensure financial discipline across the Network.

This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong numerical skills, and a proactive attitude toward maintaining financial order and efficiency in a multinational environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor receivables and follow up on overdue payments from network members and partners.
  • Assist in maintaining an up-to-date accounts receivable ledger and generate regular aging reports.
  • Support the preparation and reconciliation of statements, payment confirmations, and outstanding balances.
  • Communicate professionally with partner companies regarding payments, clarifications, or discrepancies.
  • Follow up on reinsurance premiums, variable contributions, and other network-related financial obligations.
  • Assist in implementing structured credit control procedures and escalation workflows.
  • Support monthly and quarterly reporting processes, working closely with the Finance Manager.
  • Help track payment commitments and alert the team on delays or risks.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal audit documents and financial documentation for Board and AGM meetings.
  • Participate in the enhancement of digital tracking tools and automated reminders for payment collection.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree or final-year student in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools (familiarity with accounting software is a plus).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and capable of working with stakeholders across different countries and cultures.

Desirable Attributes

  • Previous internship or experience in finance, accounting, or credit control (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with international payment systems (e.g. SWIFT transfers, FX operations in Africa).
  • Interest in insurance or reinsurance industries.
