The Assistant Materials Controller will support the effective management, monitoring, and control of materials throughout the company’s operations. The successful candidate will contribute to inventory accuracy, materials tracking, waste reduction, cost control, and the preparation of important operational reports.

Key Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the Assistant Materials Controller will include:

• Verifying the receipt of materials and reconciling stock records.
• Monitoring the use and consumption of materials.
• Controlling waste, rejects, and recycled materials.
• Analyzing materials-related data and preparing reports.
• Supporting initiatives designed to improve inventory reliability and control operational costs.
• Monitoring materials consumption and identifying potential losses or wastage.
• Supporting accurate data verification and stock reconciliation processes.

Requirements for the Assistant Materials Controller Position

To be considered for this Assistant Materials Controller opportunity, candidates should meet the following requirements:

• At least a Bachelor’s degree or Licence in Statistics, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in materials control, inventory management, warehouse operations, or a similar position.
• Strong skills in data verification, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP/RECHERCHEV, pivot tables, and data filtering.
• Experience monitoring materials consumption, inventory accuracy, and the control of losses or waste.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a high sense of responsibility.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Experience in the manufacturing or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector will be an advantage.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
