Finance Manager Job at ECOM Cameroon – Responsibilities
The successful candidate will manage the company’s day-to-day finance and accounting activities while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Monitoring cash flow, working capital, receivables and payables.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Ensuring compliance with financial policies and internal controls.
- Reviewing financial transactions and supporting documentation.
- Monitoring expenditure against approved budgets.
- Investigating significant financial variances.
- Coordinating statutory and tax compliance requirements.
- Supporting internal and external audits.
- Providing financial analysis and recommendations to management.
- Supervising, coaching and developing finance team members.
- Maintaining accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
- Supporting improved financial efficiency and cost management.
- Ensuring compliance with OHADA accounting requirements and applicable local regulations.
Requirements for the ECOM Finance Manager Position
Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
A professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent is an advantage.
Candidates should have at least five years of relevant finance and accounting experience. Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, cash-flow management and internal controls is particularly relevant.
Experience in a multinational company, commodities business, agricultural organization or trading environment would be an advantage.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, analytical ability, organization and problem-solving skills are also required.
Most importantly, candidates must be fluent in both English and French, verbally and in writing.
