Key Responsibilities

The Collection & Litigation Officer will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring rental receivables and tenant accounts to identify overdue payments and outstanding debts.
  • Conducting telephone, written, and physical follow-ups with tenants who have unpaid balances.
  • Analysing outstanding debts, including amounts due, ageing of receivables, payment history, disputes, and existing commitments.
  • Monitoring overdue invoices and payment delays.
  • Negotiating payment terms, settlement deadlines, and debt repayment plans where authorised.
  • Establishing and monitoring payment schedules until outstanding amounts are fully regularised.
  • Preparing and sending reminder letters, formal notices, payment demands, and other collection correspondence.
  • Creating, managing, and updating rental debt collection, pre-litigation, and litigation files.
  • Identifying cases requiring legal intervention and referring them to the appropriate legal representatives.
  • Following up on legal and recovery procedures with external partners under the supervision of management.

Candidate Profile

AXIS PL SARL is looking for a candidate who meets the following requirements:

  • Male candidate aged between 25 and 35 years.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (Bac+3/5 minimum) in Law, Business Law, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in debt collection or litigation.
  • Previous experience in a law firm would be an advantage.
  • Experience in rental debt collection will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Good knowledge of amicable and pre-litigation debt collection techniques.
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial law, contract law, and debt recovery procedures.
  • Good command of Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret receivables and payment data.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
