Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is recruiting a Country Human Resources Manager in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Country Human Resources Manager – MSH Cameroon
The Country HR Manager will be responsible for implementing MSH’s human resources practices and activities in Cameroon. The role covers the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through performance management, employee relations, compensation, benefits and personnel administration.
The successful candidate will also serve as an important resource for Cameroon-based employees regarding MSH policies, local employment legislation and applicable donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The Country Human Resources Manager will lead transparent and timely recruitment processes for technical and administrative positions, including consultants. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing job descriptions, vacancy announcements, recruitment documentation, interviews, reference checks and employment offers.
The HR Manager will also coordinate onboarding and orientation for new employees, ensuring that staff understand MSH policies, benefits, ethics, compliance, safeguarding and country-specific employment requirements.
Another important part of the role involves maintaining accurate and confidential personnel records. The successful candidate will monitor employment contracts, probation periods, mandatory training and other HR deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience
Candidates are required to have a relevant master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Law, Organizational Development or another related field.
Professional HR certification is preferred.
MSH requires at least seven years of relevant HR experience, together with a strong generalist HR background and a sound understanding of Cameroon labour laws and HR practices.
Experience with an international donor or organization, particularly the U.S. Government, is preferred.
Applicants should have strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, HR administration and personnel records.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and French are required. Experience with Workday or a comparable HR information system is also preferred.
