Key Responsibilities

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for a range of accounting and finance activities, including:

• Recording and processing financial transactions accurately and on time.
• Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Preparing bank and other account reconciliations.
• Supporting invoice processing and verification.
• Maintaining organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assisting with monthly and annual financial closing.
• Supporting financial reports and schedules.
• Monitoring outstanding invoices and following up where necessary.
• Assisting with tax and statutory reporting.
• Providing documentation required for internal and external audits.
• Identifying accounting discrepancies and escalating them to the Finance Manager.

Qualifications for the Junior Accountant Position

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

ECOM indicates that approximately two years of accounting experience is preferred, although fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may also be considered.
