MSH Supply Chain Advisor Job in Cameroon

The Supply Chain Advisor will support the Senior Technical Advisor in improving forecasting, quantification, supply planning, inventory management and logistics-data use for HIV and malaria medicines, laboratory products and related health commodities.

The successful candidate will also serve as the primary deputy to the Senior Technical Advisor when required. The position therefore requires strong leadership, analytical, coordination and problem-solving abilities.

The Advisor will work with important national and regional stakeholders, including the National AIDS Control Committee (NACC), National Malaria Control Program (NMCP), Directorate of Pharmacy, Medicines and Laboratories (DPML), CENAME, regional authorities, laboratories, health facilities, donors and implementing partners.

Key Responsibilities

The position’s responsibilities are divided across four major areas:

Forecasting, Quantification and Supply Planning – 35%: Support forecasting and quantification for HIV and malaria commodities, analyze consumption and stock data, identify supply risks and contribute to annual and quarterly supply-planning exercises.

Supply Chain Coordination – 30%: Participate in technical working groups, coordination meetings and workshops while following up on supply-chain decisions and helping resolve operational bottlenecks.

Logistics Data and Reporting – 20%: Review commodity data, analyze stock levels and consumption patterns, prepare dashboards and technical reports, and support data validation.

Capacity Strengthening – 15%: Assist with training, coaching, supportive supervision, SOPs, job aids and other activities designed to strengthen supply-chain capacity.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, public health, supply chain management, logistics or a related health or management field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional qualification is preferred.

Candidates need at least six years of relevant experience in health-commodity supply-chain management, including forecasting, quantification, supply planning, inventory management or logistics-data analysis.

Experience supporting HIV and/or malaria programs is required. Experience with Cameroon’s health system, government counterparts or donor-funded projects is preferred.

Applicants should also have 2–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience within a complex public-health program or project and experience representing an organization or project at national level.

Strong knowledge of health supply chains, logistics-management information systems and analytical tools is required. Experience with Microsoft Excel and forecasting or quantification tools such as QAT, PipeLine or Quantimed is an advantage.

Professional proficiency in both French and English is also required.
