🧾 Job Description

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, ensuring tax compliance, and reconstructing financial records where necessary. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work with incomplete or historical financial data to restore accurate financial statements.

You will also support financial audits, improve accounting systems, and ensure compliance with OHADA accounting standards and local tax regulations.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Reconstruct financial and accounting records from incomplete data
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports
• Ensure full compliance with tax regulations and filing requirements
• Manage VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory obligations
• Perform account reconciliation and audit preparation
• Analyze financial discrepancies and resolve accounting issues
• Support internal and external audits
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping in accordance with OHADA standards
• Improve accounting processes and internal controls

🎓 Requirements for Senior Accountant Role

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management
• Strong knowledge of tax systems and financial reporting
• Experience in financial records reconstruction is a strong advantage
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Odoo, Excel, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of OHADA accounting standards
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
