Assistant Statisticien Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the collection, verification and analysis of numerical data used to monitor production and inventory activities.
One important responsibility will be checking the COGI error journal for items requiring attention. The Assistant Statisticien will also compare information entered into the system by the Chinese team with quantities physically received at the warehouse.
The position also involves monitoring semi-finished products in intermediate storage areas and identifying abnormal losses. Particular attention will be given to variations outside the ±10% range and especially to items exceeding ±20%.
The employee will similarly monitor material costs and identify significant deviations. These activities require accuracy, strong analytical thinking and the ability to detect inconsistencies in operational data.
Another major part of the role concerns raw-material reception. The Assistant Statisticien will prepare reception lists based on production plans and compare planned quantities with materials actually received. The candidate will also analyze whether received materials correspond with daily production reports and examine emergency-reception situations.
The position further involves recording stock entries, checking actual production information, monitoring normal and exceptional production situations and preparing daily production reports.
Monitoring Finished Products and Inventory
For finished products, the Assistant Statisticien will record entries according to production plans, verify actual data and monitor production activities. Daily reporting will also form part of the job.
Additional responsibilities include confirming production-line returns and conducting end-of-month inventories of materials located on the production line.
To perform these duties effectively, the successful candidate will need to understand the manufacturing process and become familiar with finished products, product codes, raw materials and their corresponding codes.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Applicants must have a minimum Bac+3 in Statistics or a related field. Sunda International also requires at least two years of relevant professional experience in a similar position.
Strong Excel skills are particularly important. Candidates should be comfortable using functions such as VLOOKUP (RECHERCHEV), SUMIFS (SOMME.SI.ENS), INDEX+MATCH (INDEX+EQUIV) and IFERROR (SI.ERREUR).
A good level of English is also required. The position may involve overtime, so applicants should be prepared to work additional hours when necessary.
