About the NOETIX Robotics VLA Algorithm Engineer Job
The NOETIX Robotics VLA Algorithm Engineer will contribute to the development of advanced Vision-Language-Action models designed for embodied AI applications. The role involves working across the complete research and engineering lifecycle, including data collection, model training, testing and deployment on real robots.
The successful candidate will also participate in building and optimizing VLA model training infrastructure. This includes distributed training frameworks and data-processing pipelines that support large-scale model development.
Another important responsibility will be following advances in embodied AI and continuously improving algorithms. Candidates should be capable of reproducing state-of-the-art algorithms, optimizing existing approaches and converting research ideas into practical engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
The position involves several technically demanding responsibilities. These include developing innovative VLA algorithm solutions, supporting multimodal data collection and model training, testing models and deploying them on physical robots.
The engineer will also contribute to training infrastructure and data-preprocessing pipelines. Knowledge of modern embodied AI frameworks and the ability to work with large-scale datasets will therefore be important.
The official NOETIX Robotics recruitment website currently lists a VLA Algorithm Engineer position with responsibilities and requirements that closely match those in the LinkedIn vacancy.
Requirements
Applicants should have a Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics or a related discipline. The opportunity is also aimed at 2025 and 2026 master’s and doctoral graduates, with candidates who can undertake internships earlier receiving preference.
Candidates need strong theoretical knowledge of deep learning, computer vision and natural language processing. Proficiency with major deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX is required.
Applicants should understand the training and deployment processes of VLM and VLA models and have knowledge of architectures such as OpenVLA and Pi-series embodied models. Familiarity with LeRobot, OpenPi and multimodal embodied datasets is also desirable.
Experience with ROS or ROS2 and practical robot debugging is another important requirement. Candidates should also demonstrate innovation, teamwork and a strong interest in embodied intelligence.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional advantages include first-author research papers at leading conferences such as ICRA, CoRL, RSS, NeurIPS, ICLR or CVPR. Experience building large-scale embodied-data closed-loop systems and distributed embodied-model training will also strengthen an application.
