About the Regional Supply Chain Officer Position
The Regional Supply Chain Officer will support MSH in strengthening the management and availability of essential health commodities across the assigned region.
The officer will work with regional public health and pharmaceutical authorities, health districts, health facilities, warehouses, implementing partners, and other stakeholders.
The position involves supporting forecasting, quantification, supply planning, inventory management, warehousing, distribution, logistics reporting, and supply chain data analysis.
The successful candidate will also help identify supply chain challenges and coordinate corrective actions to reduce stockouts, overstocking, expiry risks, reporting gaps, and other supply disruptions.
Main Responsibilities
The Regional Supply Chain Officer will be responsible for supporting the implementation of regional health commodity supply chain activities.
Key duties include:
- Supporting health commodity supply chain strengthening activities.
- Working with regional authorities, warehouses, health districts, health facilities, and implementing partners.
- Supporting forecasting, quantification, and supply planning exercises.
- Reviewing consumption, stock, service delivery, and logistics data.
- Identifying stockouts, overstock, impending expiry, delayed deliveries, and other supply risks.
- Supporting inventory management and good storage practices.
- Assisting with warehousing and commodity distribution procedures.
- Conducting field visits and supportive supervision.
- Collecting, validating, analyzing, and submitting logistics reports.
- Strengthening the use of logistics management information systems.
- Supporting electronic reporting and supply chain data platforms.
- Participating in regional coordination meetings and technical discussions.
- Providing coaching and mentoring to regional, district, and facility staff.
- Supporting stock redistribution and distribution planning.
- Assisting with training and capacity-building activities.
- Documenting supply chain challenges, corrective actions, good practices, and lessons learned.
Additional Responsibilities
The selected candidate will also:
- Prepare routine activity updates and field visit reports.
- Prepare meeting notes and other required documentation.
- Participate in project coordination meetings.
- Contribute to work planning and reporting.
- Coordinate with technical, operations, and administrative teams.
- Comply with MSH policies and donor requirements.
- Follow safeguarding and mandatory training requirements.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Regional Supply Chain Advisor.
Regional Supply Chain Officer Qualifications

Required Experience
